Barbara E. Pape, 84, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, with her family by her side. She was born October 24, 1930, in Utica, the daughter of the late John and Viola Sagendorf Keating and was educated in Utica schools. Barbara was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. She is survived by two daughters, Sr. Marlene Pape, SSJ of Rochester and Maryanne Sangiacomo of Guilderland; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Edward Cole of Utica; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Sangiacomo and her partner, Jennifer Kristen Mumby and Alana Streifert, her husband Matthew and their daughter, Emma Louise Streifert. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. A calling hour will be held Monday from 11 am to 12 pm at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Arrangements are with the Bentz Funeral Service, Inc., New Hartford.

We are so sorry to hear of Barb's passing.Sunday mass at 11:15 will not be the same with out her.We had many beautiful conversation's and will truly miss her.God Bless you Barbara,you are in God's paradise now.

To the Family of Barbara. I have been an AmeriCorps volunteer with the Municipal Housing Authority for the past three years.I have had the pleasure of working and just listening to Barb and must say I have had some of the best conversations.Barb was a very intelligent and witty woman and she will be missed by myself and my coworkers. Barb may you rest in peace, and know that Gillmore Village will not be the same with out you and I'am so glad that I had the pleasure of knowing you. I will miss all those conversations that we had. Thank You for your support for our program.
