Janis, Christopher and Nicholas, May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Janice & Family, I worked with Nick at the 485th. He was a good friend and we often went out to the Ramada, Sheraton, Donnely's ... He was always a lot of fun. We lost touch when you moved to Florida but a few months ago he e-mailed me and told me of his health problems. He knew his problems were serious but I never thought he would go so quickly. God bless you and your family. I'm sure Nick is in a better place but I will miss him greatly.
Janis,Nicholas and Christopher, my sincere condolences. Nick was a great guy. I felt honored when he decided to allow me to paint his 70 Buick. It was a pleasure to work on his car and with him. He was one of the first Wednesday night car guys I met and we became good friends through the years. I will miss him stopping by to see me at the shop when he visited in Utica. Rest in peace my friend..... Freddy & Nicole Castronovo

Janis, Nicholas and Christoher, I am so very sorry for the loss of Nick. May your memories be his special gift to you. Love and hugs to all of you.
Janis and boys. Dina and I are so sorry to hear about Nick's passing. Im totally shocked. Had no idea he was sick. I will always remember us hanging around Genesse St. in Utica with our cars. I loved his Buick. I remember him comming to my house to pick me up to go out for a ride he would tell me you drive and I would be in my glory. He also bought me my first legal drink when I turned 21. He was such a good guy and I will always remember the fun we had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With love and sympathy Jim and Dina.
Janis and boys,
The last few years have been a blur and to hear that Nick was sick just recently and now the sad news that he lost the battle is just heart breaking. I met Nick just a few years ago in 1971 and you know what, it seems like yesterday. We had some great times and we had some times that weren't so great. But we always made the best of what we had. I'll never forget the day when I was sitting in the cafeteria in Owego and saw a guy walking through that looked familiar. I thought it was him but was like why would he be here. I called out 'Marchitelli' and he stopped dead in his tracks and after years of not seeing each other we reconnected 90 miles away from Utica. Who would have thought we would run into each other outside of east Utica. It was a great thing becoming a part of each otherís life again and seeing how we had each had families we were so proud of. The two of us were made from the same cloth and our children mean the world to us. All the times we spent talking it was mostly about what our kids were doing. I loved every minute of that and we both expressed that many times. I know what it is like to lose someone we care about early in life with my brother David, and there are no words that make it easier except for these, God has a plan for us and what will be will be. Our faith is a very important thing and I believe Nick is now reunited with his parents, and brothers. He will always be watching over you all and believe you can feel his presence and you will feel that joy. Remember all the good times you had. I was amazed to see on FB that the Buick was given a new home. I hope that the guy that bought it loves that car as much as Nick did. RIP Nick until we meet again.
Janis, Nicholas and Christopher: We are so sorry for your loss - the most important thing to Nick was his family. He will long live on in your wonderful memories of him and all the great time spent together. Our prayers are with you.

I hope one day, in that special place, to hear again "Eddieee, come over for pasta". To you family, i am just so sorry. He will always be there for you.
Janis, Chris, and Nicholas, Nick was a wonderful friend of mine and will be greatly missed by myself and his coworkers. Our office is not the same since he left. As everyone has said, he loved his family and spoke of all of you all the time....and his dog, Buddy. He shared some funny stories. I think of them often and still laugh. I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take comfort in that he will always be watching over you.

Janis, Cris and Nicholas. I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of Nick. I worked with Nick for many years and always thought highly of him. he will be greatly missed. I am sure Jesus is taking great care of him now.
I happened to come across this accidentally and was shocked when I saw the name. Growing up there's some people you never forget from when you were little. Nick lived down and across the street from me on Eleanor Place in Utica until my family moved...he was older than me and of course, played with the guys. The neighborhood was filled with many kids at that time and you just couldn't forget Nick. My thoughts and prayers to you all and may you be given the strength to meet each day one at a time. He will find a way to watch over you all. May you find peace as he has.
