Mrs. Rosalinda (Spetts) Mazzei, 73, of Utica, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke''s Healthcare Center, after a courageous three month battle with her illness. She was born September 16, 1936, in Utica, the daughter of the late Louis and Maria Malagese Spiridigliozzi. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School and was an active member of her high school reunion committee. On June 6, 1959, in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica, Rosalinda married Anthony Mazzei, a blessed union of 50 years. Mrs. Mazzei once worked as a nurse''s aide at both the Sitrin Home and the Heritage Health Care Center. She also took great pride in her job as a nanny for area children. She was a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, was a member of the Daughters of Columbus, was a member of over 50 years of the Sigma Chi Alpha Sorority and was a former member of the choir at St. Mary''s Church on South St. Rosalinda is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony; her daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Chris Abraham of Utica; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Mazzei of FL; her sister, Connie Mott of Utica; four grandchildren, Alexandria Abraham, Marc Abraham, Michael Mazzei and Salvatore Mazzei; her in-laws, Guy Citriniti of FL, Nancy Spetts of Clinton, Michael Mazzei of New York City and Alfred and Esther Mazzei of Utica; a special nephew, Anthony Citriniti of Utica; four special friends, Paul Werick, who was like a grandson to her, Jean Elliot, Isabel Shanley and Loretta Moccaldi; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jennie Cappelli and Ann Citriniti; and three brothers, Anthony Spiridigliozzi, Carmen Spetts and Sam Spetts. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 am at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica. There are no calling hours. The family will receive condolences immediately following the Mass. Private entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Bentz & Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford.
