Joseph W. Waldron, 53, of Raquette Lake, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton. He was born November 30, 1956, in Utica, the son of Maurice E. Waldron and the late Elizabeth Dunay Waldron. Joseph was educated in Inlet schools, was a graduate of Old Forge High School and received a degree in parks and recreational management from SUNY Delhi and Utica College. For several years, Joseph worked with the DEC and parks throughout Florida and New York. He later worked as a marketing consultant with Media USA in Lake George. He is survived by his father, Maurice of Raquette Lake; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancyann Waldron and Randy DeSonia of Bethesda, MD and Elizabeth Bortle of Munnsville; a nephew, Seth Bortle of Raquette Lake; a niece, Elizabeth Bortle of Munnsville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, Waterville.


My thoughts are with the family. I have many happy memories of Joe's unique perspectives of life during the times we worked (and played) in R.L.. He lives on in the memories of the people that knew him. Joan
