In memory of Barbara, kindly consider the needs of her family.

Barbara J. Carpenter, 52, of Oriskany Falls, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. She was born January 23, 1957, in Albany, the daughter of Leila Pickett Duncan and the late Volney Duncan and was educated in Albany area schools. On June 9, 1974, in Deansboro, she married Edward A. Carpenter, Sr. At one time, Barbara was employed at Tucker's Big M. She is survived by her husband, Ed; her mother, Leila; two daughters, Leila and Deborah Carpenter; three sons, Edward, Jr., Mark and Matthew Carpenter; six sisters, Beverly Wright, Virginia Robinson, Linda Utter, Ruth Cleveland, Valerie Lamphere and Sara Cameron; three brothers, Volney, Jr., Victor and Michael Duncan; 18 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 pm at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, with Pastor Ed Townsend officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm, prior to the service.


Barb, You will be missed greatly by many and never forgotten. And I willnever forget your spunky personallity :) My condolances to all the family and friends my sympathy's are with you all
