To Spook and the rest of the Hughes family, My sincere condolances on the passing of such a wonderful person. I first met Barb when I was a little boy and she was a waitress at the Purple Cow. She was an amazing person and the world will be a little less bright now.

To the entire Hughes/Stephenson family, I was very saddened to hear that a very special part of your family has left this world. Aunt Barb as I knew her was a very special lady. She will be missed by many. Her and Dougie have been reunited in heaven and are looking down on us. Spook keep all those good times in your dreams because you know she is with you in your heart and soul. May she rest in peace. Bob (Bubbles)

On Wed. evening, after I had talked with Robert, I celebrated Mass for Aunt Barb for a peaceful and painless death. During that Mass she fell asleep in the Lord. EVERY relative has a ton of Aunt Barb Stories. But all I can say is she was tough, fun, loving, and - for me - the most supportive adult in my childhood world. I can never hear a "polka" without thinking of dancing with her. God rest her soul. And God bless Uncle Spook, Earl, Walter, Robert & Patty...and all those who knew & loved her. With much love and prayers, Dennis

Uncle Spook, Walter, Earl, Robert, Patty & Linda, Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Aunt Barb was a wonderful person, and will truly be missed by many many people. We have so many great memories of those summer vacations long ago spent with the Hughes family. I'll never forget the first time Cary met Aunt Barb and she entertained him with the story of how she used to whack us all with her slippers when we were out of line, and then she proceeded to take her slipper off and whack him right then! What an introduction to the family! I am sorry we can't be there to pay our respects, but please know that you are all in our hearts and thoughts. Hold on to the memories. Love, Janice, Cary & Katie
