Russell E. Bolton, 85, of Trenton Falls and Micco, FL, passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 at the St. Luke's Home, with his family by his side. He was born July 31, 1929, in Binghamton, the son of the late William and Catherine Radley Bolton. He was a graduate of Binghamton schools and White Plains Community College. Mr. Bolton was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. On May 18, 1957, at Sacred Heart Church, Utica, he married Patricia Smith. For many years, Mr. Bolton was an Installer for New York Telephone, retiring from AT & T. He was a parishioner of St. Leo's & St. Ann's Church in Holland Patent and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the CWA, Glass Hills Golf Club in Trenton, VFW Post #8259 in Stittville and VFW Post #10210 in Sebastian, FL. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three sons, Gary and Elena Bolton of Dallas, TX, Daniel Bolton of Quincy, MA and William and Christine Bolton of Trenton Falls; his sister, Mary Bolton of Utica; his brother, Robert and Regina Bolton of Micco, FL; three grandchildren, Devin Bolton of Ithaca, Holly and Matt Beyhl of Sterling, VA and Uriel Bolton of Dallas, TX; a great granddaughter, Eleanor Anne Beyhl; his in-laws, Gloria Bolton of Old Forge, Carol Smith of Verona, Gail and Don Dwyer of Waterville and Dennis and Christine Smith of Riverside, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Bernard Bolton and Donald Bolton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Leo's & St. Ann's Church, Holland Patent. Spring interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Hinckley. There are no public calling hours. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Barton East at the St. Luke's Home for their compassion and excellent care.
