leave a condolence read condolencesAlbert C. Pope, 80, formerly of Liverpool and Hoffmeister, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born in Syracuse and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. For 54 years, he was a landscaper with Al Pope & Sons in Syracuse, retiring in 2008. Al was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending winters in Florida. He was also very much loved by his family. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; six children, Deborah Francis, Elizabeth Pope, Michael Pope, Matthew Pope, Patricia Pope and Mark (Lynn) Pope; a sister, Joan Dausman; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton for all their wonderful care and compassion. Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at the Hoffmeister Cemetery. Arrangements are under the guidance of the Bentz Funeral Service., Inc., Utica/New Hartford.

I can't believe it has been so many years... So many memories... From the minute your family met mine - in the late 1970's I think. Al hunted with my Dad. The weekends at camp... I've thought of all of you often... I hope Al was at peace in his passing and that you find comfort in your own best memories... My warmest thoughts to you and yours...
