Joseph Anthony Curcio,77, of Utica, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Albany Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1935, in Utica, the son of the late Joseph and Giovanna LaBella Curcio and was educated in Utica schools. Joe was employed by St. Elizabeth Medical Center as a housekeeper in hospital services for 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, was a member of the East Utica Fish & Game Club and was a volunteer at the Parkway Senior Center. Joe is survived by a sister, Jenny Roccosalvo, Brooklyn; nieces and nephews, Mary Theresa Zupancic and Sam Spatuzzi, both of Utica, Joe and Wendy Spatuzzi, Sauquoit, Joseph and Barbara Roccosalvo, New Jersey, Felicia Roccosalvo, Brooklyn, and Mark and Phyllis Rodill, PA; great nieces and nephews, Carla Zupancic and Tennell Moorehand, Richard and Lisa Zupancic, Tim and Julie Zupancic, Frank and Amanda Zupancic, Joell Almas, Janese Spatuzzi, Carol Ann Rys and Michele Starzewski; several great-great nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Leo Poissant. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers, Fannie Spatuzzi, Rosemary Dubuss, Felicia Curcio and Pat and Mike Curcio. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9 A. M. to 10 A. M. at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A. M. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Joe''s family is very grateful to the doctors and staff at both St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Albany Medical Center for the care extended to Joe.
