Dear Ford and McLean families. We were so sad to learn of Janis' passing in the Waterville Times we just received. We are sorry we have lost touch with your families, but we certainly have thought of you often. Sorry we couldn't be there to pay our respects in person, but nonetheless send our heartfelt sympathies. The Allens and the McLeans go back a lot of years with many great memories. With our love to you all. Laura, Joel and Karrie Allen Hudson, NY

I know that Marcia and Vinnie Ford, as well as Timmy, would have wonderful things to say about Janis - so I am just passing on their thoughts from Heaven, and, you know, Janis, that they will all be there waiting for you with open arms!! XOXOXO

So sorry to hear about Janis - but you all can know she is in a better place, feeling great, and watching over you. I will never forget the night Janis & Jim, Marcia & Vinnie, and Ed & I were at that little bar in Wilton Manors, FL and befriended a guy "all alone". He brushed Janis' leg under the booth as he pilfered her purse, stealing her wallet containing money and their airline tickets, then took off when she said something. Little did he know who he was dealing with, as Jim, Vinnie & Ed took off running after him as we called the police. Needless to say, the three were better runners ! After much ado at the police station (the wallet was thrown into a mailbox) - we went out to breakfast. As we all excitedly jabbered about the event, drinking coffee, Janis has a "full course farmer's breakfast" - the trim thing that she was! Such a pretty lady. Rest, dear Janis, and know you were loved by all. Anne
